The Total Gym is the strength training machine that Chuck Norris advertises on infomercials. It's a decent machine, although the lowest priced model may not be a good buy. However, you need to understand that the resistance is created by a combination of your weight and gravity.

While this can help tone your muscles, it's highly unlikely that it will build big muscles. Chuck Norris uses other weight training besides the Total Gym. So if you're just looking to tone up, then this might be a simple way to do it. If you're looking to bulk up, then you need something that provides more resistance.
