Excercise Bikes

If you're shopping for excercise bikes, then you'll probably come across two basic kinds.

Old fashioned bikes create resistance using belts. The belt is attached to the wheel. The problem with this is that the belt can break. At the very least, you'll have to replace it if it breaks. But some bikes are made so you can't get access to the belt and you have to pay someone to replace it. Big hassle.

On the other hand, a lot of newer bikes use magnetic resistance. All you need to know about this is that you won't have to replace any belts.

But you will want to ask the salesman about whatever bike you want to buy to find out if there are any parts that may wear out and if you can replace them yourself.
