Water Excercise

Water excercise is great for two reasons, often better than just about anything you can do on land.

1. It's very low (or no) impact. So there's no wear and tear on your joints. This means your body won't wear out as a direct result of excercise, and people who already have joint pain can excercise much better in water.

2. Water creates a natural resistance, so your muscles have to work harder to move in the water than they do when you're out of the water. So excercises you do in the water will usually be better for you from a cardiovascular perspective. You can usually excercise for the same amount of time in the water and burn more calories than if you were excercising out of the water.
