Pilaties Positions

All of the positions used in pilaties are focused on improving balance, posture, and breathing, leading to better flexibility, improved body awareness, and reduced stress. The specific positions vary depending on the type of pilaties being practiced. Some movements are done entirely on the floor (or mat), while others require specialized equipment such as a Reformer or Wunda Chair.
The goal of pilaties is to perform the movements as perfectly as possible in order to get the most benefit from them. Breathing is at the core of pilaties because controlling your breath gives you better control over the rest of your body.
