Exercize Heart Rate

If you're exercizing to increase cardio health and/or burn fat, then the important thing is to get your heart rate up and keep it up for at least 15 or 20 minutes. How high your heart rate should be depends on your age. As you get older, your optimal heart rate for excercize will go down. So the first thing you need to do is determine your maximum heart rate for your current age.
As a general guide, the maximum heart rate for someone 20 years old is 200. The max heart rate then decreases by one for every year after that.
When exercizing, you want your heart rate to be 50%-85% of your maximum.
